Asked by kissa mies. I am being a freelancer on certain company with own laptop. Desktop works fine and dandy but I am only allowed to use browser with it so I requested to get VDI experience as well. Please contact your help desk. I have went through google and bing yeah I am desperate with this but none of the answers have helped me to get this working.

I am unable to find anything relevant from event viewer and the Citrix installation folder does not seem to have any logs. You're getting this error in the web browser? If so, then your virtual desktop is probably not booted or some other error in your datacenter.

Your Citrix team should be able to look in StoreFront and Delivery Controller logs to see the problem. I am getting this error in browser and also in the Citrix Receiver application.

After I have pressed the VDI button it takes something like seconds to pop out the error message. I am wondering if it could connect anywhere within that time.

There are two parts to the connection: web browser, and ICA. If the error is in the web browser, then StoreFront was not able to generate an. ICA file that your Workspace app can use to connect. That means the virtual desktop in the datacenter is not booted or something like that. If the error was a popup not in the browser , then that would be a different problem. Have you tried a web browser to connect to Citrix? Web browsers are much easier to troubleshoot. Or is the error popped up in a separate window?

Then that could mean your client machine does not have connectivity to the datacenter, or some security software or firewall, or proxy is interfering with the connection. Thank you Carl.
